Poll: 68% of Israelis view Turkey as a threat.

Turkey as a threat

PNN – A poll conducted in occupied Palestine reveals that 68 percent of Zionists view Turkey as a threat.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; results from a new survey—prepared by the Jerusalem Center for Foreign Affairs and Security and reported by various Hebrew media outlets, including the Israel Hayom newspaper—indicate that 68 percent of Zionists consider Turkey a dangerous threat to their regime.

The report states that a new survey—conducted between September 2 and 4, 2026, among a sample of 703 Jewish and Arab respondents aged 18 and older—reveals significant concern among the Israeli public regarding Turkey and its growing presence in the region.

In this context, 77 percent of the Zionist public and 68 percent of the general public (comprising both Zionists and 1948 Arabs) agree that Turkey poses a serious security threat to Israel.

Sixty percent of participants support military action to prevent the establishment of Turkish infrastructure and bases in Syria.

Notably, 70 percent of Zionists believe that Israel should set red lines for Turkey and take action against it via diplomatic channels—involving the United States—to rein in Ankara.

The results indicate that, for the majority of Zionists, Turkey is no longer viewed merely as a political rival or a hostile regional actor; rather, it is seen as a genuine security threat, particularly given the prospect of it solidifying its presence in Syria near Israel’s borders.

According to Israel Hayom, however, when asked to rank all the threats facing the next government, Turkey still ranks relatively low compared to Iran and Hamas.
