PNN – The head of Rosatom announced that six of the company’s employees are returning to the Bushehr power plant and that a decision regarding the continued return of staff to the facility will be made in the coming hours.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing RIA Novosti, the head of Rosatom stated that the first group of six Rosatom employees began the process of returning to Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant a few hours ago.
In announcing this news, Alexey Likhachev added that Russian officials stationed in Tehran had previously suspended their activities following US attacks on Iran.
He emphasized that while airstrikes were carried out in Bushehr Province, the Bushehr nuclear power plant itself was not targeted.
The head of Rosatom stated that the company would make a decision in the coming hours regarding the continued return of its personnel to the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
These remarks by the Russian official come as the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in his latest statement, asserted that the agency is monitoring the situation at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran and called on all parties to exercise restraint.
