PNN – The Prime Minister of Qatar claimed that indirect talks took place yesterday between Tehran and Washington, yielding some progress.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, stated in an interview with CNN that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is unacceptable and that the misuse of waterways must end.
Without mentioning the cooperation of his own country and other regional Arab states—through the hosting of US military bases—in US military operations and acts of aggression against Iran, he remarked that it is not only Iran facing pressure due to the Strait of Hormuz crisis; the entire world is confronting this pressure.
The Prime Minister of Qatar asserted that using waterways to pressure nations and impose a fait accompli is unacceptable.
Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani added that indirect talks took place yesterday between Tehran and Washington, resulting in some progress.
He stated that he sensed a willingness from both the American and Iranian sides to advance the negotiations.
