PNN – Referring to the Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding, the head of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” faction in the Lebanese Parliament said: The Israeli regime has two months to completely withdraw from Lebanese territory; otherwise it will face Tehran’s response.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; “Mohammed Ra’ad” also emphasized that the resistance will never bow down to the enemy and that any agreement with the Israeli regime must be reached through indirect negotiations and in accordance with Lebanese national and legal principles.
The MP and head of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” faction in the Lebanese parliament called on the country’s authorities to carefully and impartially study the text of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States and extract the facts and consequences that will greatly affect the reality of the region and the world, including Lebanon.
He stressed that the Lebanese authorities should be careful not to underestimate Iran’s power to fulfill its commitment to deter the Zionist enemy if it insists on violating the content of the memorandum of understanding, which also includes it.
Raad drew the attention of Lebanese authorities to the fact that the enemy has two months to fully withdraw from Lebanese territory, during which it must fully adhere to the cessation of hostilities on land, sea, and air, and be prepared to begin its withdrawal within 60 days, without any need for direct negotiations.
He continued: Beyond that, the Lebanese authorities, after reaching a national understanding in accordance with the procedures of the Charter, the Constitution and the law, can adopt a formula of indirect negotiations with the enemy to reactivate the ceasefire agreement in a manner appropriate to the current reality and taking into account the continuation of the state of hostilities agreed upon in accordance with the Constitution and the Charter.
The Lebanese parliamentarian stressed that the Resistance, for its part, advises the Lebanese authorities to refrain from directly participating with the enemy in targeting the Resistance, as this is against the interests of Lebanon and its people.
He added: On behalf of those whom the Resistance represents in Lebanon, we tell the authorities that the enemy’s war to destroy the Resistance in Lebanon has failed and will not achieve its goals.
The Lebanese parliamentarian stressed that the resistance, despite all the pressure it has endured from some government elements and political movements, remains ready for any internal understanding to ensure Lebanon’s security, stability, and national sovereignty, and is not afraid of any threat from the enemy.
Raad also warned the government against bowing to external pressure, saying that surrendering to the demands of its enemy and American ally, whom the Lebanese government calls its friend, will result in nothing but defeat and surrender.
