PNN – People from various walks of life in Yemen gathered at Sana’a’s Al-Sabeen Square tonight to express their gratitude to Iran for breaking the blockade on Yemen.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; thousands of Yemeni citizens turned out in large numbers at Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana’a, tonight to declare their firm support for the recent statement by Yemeni armed forces and to appreciate the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stance in breaking the oppressive blockade imposed on Yemen.
According to published reports, a popular rally began hours ago at Al-Sabeen Square, and the number of participants continues to grow.
Chanting slogans, Yemeni citizens emphasized their full support for the statement issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces and expressed their gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for sending a plane to transport sick and wounded Yemenis and for breaking the blockade of Sana’a Airport.
In this context, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, issued a statement announcing that Saudi Arabian fighter jets violated the country’s airspace today and attempted to prevent a passenger aircraft from landing at Sana’a International Airport.
According to a statement by the Yemeni Armed Forces, this aerial aggression took place at 5:20 a.m. today, as Saudi Arabian fighter jets entered Yemeni airspace and attempted to prevent an Iranian passenger plane from landing at Sana’a Airport.
The statement by the Yemeni Armed Forces noted that the aircraft was carrying 200 sick and wounded civilians.
