PNN – Bernie Sanders, the independent senator from Vermont, emphasized the need to end U.S. President Donald Trump’s warmongering against Iran and U.S. arms assistance to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Sanders wrote on the social media platform X on Wednesday night: Instead of spending billions more on devastating and horrific weapons, governments must unite to protect working families and the planet.
He stressed: We must end Trump’s war on Iran, U.S. military aid to Netanyahu, Putin’s war in Ukraine, and the UAE’s support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan.
On Tuesday, the U.S. senator also called on Trump to halt his threats against Iran, noting that calls for the “obliteration” of a nation’s population constitute a war crime and a barbaric act with which the United States should never be associated.
Labeling the current U.S. war against Iran illegal, Sanders demanded immediate congressional action to bring it to an end.
Meanwhile, a CNN poll released on Tuesday indicates that nearly 67 percent of Americans believe the United States would not win a war against Iran, while an even larger number believe Trump is not doing enough to resolve the situation.
