PNN – The U.S. military announced and confirmed a renewed attack on Iran, ordered by President Donald Trump.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday (local time) that, acting on the orders of U.S. President Donald Trump, American forces have launched new strikes against targets in Iran.
CENTCOM stated that the objective of these strikes is to further diminish Iran’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
To justify its aggression against Iran, the US military claimed: The United States holds Iran responsible for recent, unprovoked aggressive actions against commercial vessels and civilian crews in one of the world’s most important international waterways.
On Tuesday night (local time, July 7, 2026)—while Trump was attending a NATO summit in Turkey—the US launched attacks on areas in southern Iran, thereby violating the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington.
CENTCOM claimed: We targeted more than 60 small boats and over 80 sites with precision munitions.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced: In an initial response to this aggression, the IRGC’s naval and aerospace forces—conducting a joint missile and drone operation—pounded 85 key U.S. military sites at Salman Port, Bahrain’s 5th Naval Area, and Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base, and shot down an enemy MQ-9 drone that attempted to interfere with the operation.
On July 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran responded to U.S. attacks on parts of Iranian territory by stating that, in the early hours of Wednesday, the U.S. military—in flagrant violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter—had committed an act of military aggression against several monitoring and surveillance facilities along Iran’s southern coast; the Ministry characterized these aggressive attacks as a gross violation of the first clause of the memorandum of understanding ending the war, which mandated the cessation of military operations.
