PNN – The Washington Post reported that the U.S. conflict with Iran has turned into a quagmire for Trump.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Washington Post noted that while some of Trump’s supporters claim a U.S. victory in the conflict with Iran, the heavy military and economic costs—combined with the lack of a clear path to an end—paint a different picture of the situation.
The newspaper cited figures such as Scott Jennings and Hugh Hewitt, who have claimed that “the U.S. has won and Iran has lost.”
However, The Washington Post emphasized that tactical gains do not necessarily equate to strategic victory. According to the newspaper, the war has turned into a quagmire for the United States—a conflict with ongoing costs, yet one for which Washington still lacks a clear objective.
Until Trump makes a decisive decision regarding the ultimate course of the war, the United States will remain trapped in this stalemate.
