PNN – The director of the White House Office of Management and Budget claimed that the United States has spent a total of about $30 billion on aggressive and illegal military attacks against Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing TASS news agency, Russell Vote claimed on Tuesday in a meeting with the House Appropriations Committee: We have spent about $30 billion.
In response to a question about the cost of this military (aggression) exceeding $100 billion, he said: I’m just telling you what I’ve heard from the Department of War and the analysis they gave us.
The chief economist at Moody’s Analytics—a firm specializing in credit rating, financial, and commercial services—estimated that the Donald Trump administration’s aggressive stance toward Iran has cost each American household approximately $1,000.
CBS News reported that estimates by Mark Zandi, an economist at the firm, indicate that the conflict with Iran—which escalated in February—has cost each American about $1,000 due to rising expenses for fuel, food, and other items.
A separate estimate from U.S. officials who spoke to CBS News in April put the total U.S. cost of the conflict at $50 billion. A Pentagon official in April put the cost of Operation Epic Fury at about $25 billion although that figure does not fully include damaged or destroyed U.S. military equipment or facilities.
