PNN – The US President claimed in a message that Iran shot down a sophisticated US helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday in a message on his social network called Truth Social: Our great military has just informed me that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz.

The US President further claimed that there were two pilots involved in the incident, both of whom are safe and unharmed. However, the United States must respond to this attack.
This is despite the US President having previously said that the two passengers of the helicopter that crashed near the Strait of Hormuz were safe.
The New York Times also reported hours before the crash of a US military helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that it was not yet clear whether the helicopter had crashed or been shot down by Iranian forces.
Regarding the situation in the region, Trump also said: I believe that the situation in the region will calm down because the two sides have agreed to a ceasefire.
Without mentioning the field defeats in the war with Iran, he claimed that an economic blockade against Iran is better for us than a military option.
