PNN – Stating that “Iran’s attack last night was a surprise,” the US President once again threatened Iran with new attacks.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; US President Donald Trump, speaking to Fox News, reacted angrily to Iran’s missile attacks last night on US bases in Jordan; he once again threatened Iran with new strikes, claiming that we will deal a heavy blow to Iran.
Regarding Iran’s powerful and surprise attacks on US bases in Jordan, Trump said: Iran’s attack last night was a surprise, and our forces had only a few minutes to shoot down the Iranian missiles.
He further claimed that the United States would teach Iran a harsh lesson following the attack on U.S. forces in Jordan.
The U.S. President also claimed that the aggressive attack launched last night by the United States and Saudi Arabia against resistance forces in Iraq was carried out in coordination with the Baghdad government.
Resistance forces in Iraq were formed primarily to combat the US occupation and ISIS terrorism; they enjoy popular support and are currently part of the official structure of the Iraqi armed forces. Yet Donald Trump—who had previously admitted that “ISIS is a US creation”—made a crude remark claiming that Iran-backed militias in Iraq are a cancer to the world.
He also claimed: I am considering issuing further warnings regarding action against Iran’s proxy forces.
The joint US-Saudi attack on military facilities belonging to resistance forces in Iraq met with strong condemnation from political factions within the country.
The Iraqi Presidency issued a statement condemning the attacks on Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) bases in several areas of Iraq—which resulted in the deaths and injuries of a number of the organization’s personnel—describing them as an unacceptable act of aggression, a flagrant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty, and an attack on its official security institutions that contravenes the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
In this statement, the Iraqi Presidency emphasized Baghdad’s firm opposition to aggression against Iraqi territory. It reiterated Iraq’s consistent stance against the use of its soil for launching attacks on neighboring countries or as an arena for settling regional and international scores—a position rooted in adherence to the principles of good neighborliness, respect for national sovereignty, and non-interference in internal affairs.
Furthermore, the Iraqi Presidency called upon all parties to respect Iraq’s sovereignty and refrain from any actions that undermine its security and stability. It urged the prioritization of dialogue to address crises, aiming to safeguard regional security and spare the region’s peoples from escalating tensions.
