PNN – In a message criticizing the Donald Trump administration, U.S. Republican Congressman Thomas Massie emphasized that the United States has been severely weakened due to the war with Iran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Massie wrote on his X (formerly twitter) account: The Trump administration weakened our missile defenses, depleted our oil reserves, and got our men and women killed.

He added: This administration drove up the prices of consumer goods in the U.S. and increased the national debt, while ignoring our domestic needs.

The Republican congressman concluded by stating that all of this occurred because of the Zionist regime.

Bernie Sanders, the U.S. Senator from Vermont, had previously emphasized that aggression against Iran violates both the U.S. Constitution and international law, stating clearly that such aggression must be brought to an end as soon as possible.

In an interview, Sanders said: A war against Iran violates the U.S. Constitution and international law, and it should never have been started.

He added: We must end this war as quickly as possible through negotiations.

Continuing, the U.S. senator pointed to the devastating economic consequences that aggression against Iran has entailed for the United States, noting: What we must do is negotiate with the Iranians and put an end to this war and the destruction of our economy—which has driven up the prices of gasoline and other goods.

In conclusion, criticizing the actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon, Sanders stated: We must not continue to be drawn into Israel’s genocidal wars in Gaza or participate in the destruction of Lebanon.
