PNN – On Friday, The Wall Street Journal, citing “people familiar with the matter,” claimed that Bahrain and Kuwait secretly conducted airstrikes against targets inside Iran earlier this month using their own fighter jets, marking their first known direct military response against Tehran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the report stated that these strikes targeted facilities housing drones and missiles, as well as other military installations.
The report also claims that the UAE—which had previously carried out several strikes against Iran during the early stages of the conflict—provided intelligence on potential targets within Iran as well as defensive air support, signaling growing coordination among Arab nations in countering Iran.
The Wall Street Journal further reported that although these two Gulf States possess air forces equipped with fighter jets that are not particularly advanced—sourced from the US and Europe—they sought to respond to Tehran’s attacks.
