Ignoring the fact that the strategic Strait of Hormuz was open and safe prior to his country’s aggression against Iran and the subsequent destabilization of the region, he asserted: We are currently striving to ensure the flow of oil and gas through the Strait of Hormuz, whether with Iran’s cooperation or without it.
This U.S. official—who chose not to recall his country’s act of aggression against Iran amidst indirect diplomatic consultations between Tehran and Washington—claimed: President Trump is always seeking a diplomatic solution and wants to resolve the issue through an agreement!
He then asserted: If Iran is willing to pursue a diplomatic solution, that path will be taken. Otherwise, we will continue to ensure freedom of navigation!
