PNN – US Congressman Threatens to Sue Donald Trump Over Iran Deal Violation.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Middle East Eye, US Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna condemned the Trump administration’s renewed aggression against Iran, stressing that these attacks violate Congress’s resolution to limit further military action without lawmakers’ approval.
He wrote in a post on social media: These attacks are a clear violation of the War Powers Resolution that we passed. Trump must stop this war now or we will take him to court to force him to do so.
These statements were made after the US Congress passed a resolution that requires the president of this country to either stop military operations against Iran or seek congressional authorization for further actions. Although the Senate also voted in favor of the plan to limit Trump’s war powers, a day later, under pressure from Donald Trump, it voted against the plan in a second vote and did not approve it.
It should be noted that the Iranian armed forces have targeted American bases in the region in response to the continuous aggressions of the US against our country.
