PNN – Walid Jumblatt, the leader of the Druze in Lebanon, expressed doubts about the prospects for reconciliation between Lebanon and Israel.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Walid Jumblatt, the former head of the Progressive Socialist Party and a prominent Lebanese politician, has expressed doubts about the possibility of a reconciliation between Lebanon and Israel, somewhat retreating from his previous positions.
In his latest positions, he stated: We are now faced with a new map of Israel’s borders that does not limit its expansion and has drawn a red (yellow) line in southern Lebanon that will probably extend to Syria. Therefore, I see no prospects or possibilities for achieving peace with Israel.
At the same time, referring to the ongoing developments in the region, Jumblatt stated: Lebanon today is not separate from the developments in the Persian Gulf and this geography is interconnected.
This Druze figure in the Lebanese political scene, describing the prevailing situation in the world, said: There is complete confusion not only in Lebanon, but throughout the world.
