PNN – The Washington Post newspaper wrote in a report that the belligerent policies of the Israeli Prime Minister have exacerbated the regime’s international isolation.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Washington Post newspaper wrote in a report that after the events of October 7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu abandoned the traditional policy of “limited deterrence” and took a risky approach to “redraw the map of the Middle East” through simultaneous wars in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and confrontation with Iran, and this policy has put the Israeli regime on the path to strategic defeat.
Another part of the report states: Netanyahu has failed to achieve his goals in Iran, namely the destruction of the nuclear program or the transformation of the political structure in the country, and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz as a result of his warmongering has jeopardized global energy security.
The Washington Post, pointing to Tel Aviv’s increasing reliance on US military support, emphasized that the popularity of the Israeli regime in American public opinion has reached its lowest level. For the first time, poll results show that the American public’s sympathy for the Palestinian people has surpassed that of Israel; a change that stems directly from public anger over the scale of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and the massive civilian casualties.
The report concludes: Netanyahu’s attempt to achieve “absolute security” through military means alone has backfired. Not only has this strategy not contributed to Israel’s long-term security, it has also drained the regime’s resources and led it to a position of global isolation that even its strategic allies view with suspicion and concern.
