PNN – A Western media outlet has acknowledged that the shortage in U.S. missile defense capabilities is extremely serious.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing the Middle East Monitor website, a dismissed U.S. general had previously warned—in the context of a potential war with Iran—about a shortfall in missile defenses extending through 2030.
General Randy George, the U.S. Army Chief of Staff, warned months ago—in the context of a potential U.S.-Israeli war against Iran—that U.S. missile defense stockpiles are critically low and could take until 2030 to replenish.
The general, who was involved in planning the Pentagon’s force allocation for the 2027 fiscal year, identified a shortage of interceptor missiles for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system and Patriot missile systems; it is projected that these stockpiles will remain at critically low strategic levels until 2030.
