Yemen reported a drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s Najran Airport.

PNN – The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that the country has struck a sensitive target at Saudi Arabia’s Najran Airport using a drone.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Yahya Saree wrote in a post on the social media platform X on Tuesday: Yemeni Armed Forces successfully targeted a sensitive Saudi site at Najran Airport with a drone, executing a precise strike.

He added that the attack was carried out in response to Saudi Arabia’s violation of Yemeni airspace over the provinces of Saada and Hajjah using drones.

The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson emphasized that any violation of the country’s airspace would not go unanswered or unpunished.

Yahya Saree stated last week that Yemeni air defenses had shot down a Saudi reconnaissance drone while it was on a mission over the skies north of Sana’a, the Yemeni capital.

He identified the downed aircraft as a Saudi “Karayel” reconnaissance drone. Saada is a mountainous province located 243 kilometers north of Sana’a.

Yemen had also previously announced a naval blockade against Riyadh—applying the principle of “blockade for blockade”—in response to Saudi Arabia’s blockade of Sana’a Airport.

Following this move, certain Arab countries aligned with the policies of Saudi Arabia and the United States issued statements criticizing Sana’a’s reaction. In doing so, these nations disregarded the 12-year blockade of Yemen and the suffering inflicted upon its people as a result of this inhumane measure.
