PNN – “Abdulbari Atwan”, an analyst of the Arab world, referring to some praises of “Donald Trump”, the president-elect of the United States, in the Arab world for the ceasefire in Gaza, mentioned him as a great supporter of Tel Aviv.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Rai Elyoum, Atwan criticized some of the praises of the US president-elect in the Arab world due to the ceasefire in Gaza and pointed out the following six points.
First, the change in Trump’s policy towards the occupying regime, if it has occurred, is not the result of disagreement with this regime and its war and killing, racism, genocide, or its sudden sympathy with the Arab and Muslim world, but the disagreement with the current rulers of Israel and the person Benjamin Netanyahu is its prime minister.
Second, Trump is a businessman and only thinks about profit. According to him, trillions of dollars are in the Middle East and the Arab world, which he needs to strengthen the American economy and maintain the economic and military hegemony in the world and confront Russia and China. The Arab world and its wealth is the shortest way that brings Trump to his goal.
Third, Trump is aware of the short days of Netanyahu and his coalition. Netanyahu has failed in Gaza, Yemen and South Lebanon and has not been able to overcome the resistance movements, therefore Trump is looking to create the groundwork for bringing new leaders into the field in Israel.
Fourth, the first priority of Trump’s Middle East program in the second term of his presidency is to complete the normalization process that started with the UAE and Bahrain, especially the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel. The war in Gaza and Lebanon weakened this process and new leaders should be appointed in Israel who was not involved in this war.
Fifth, we, as Arabs and Muslims, both the government and the people, should know that the change in Trump’s positions was suggested by the American and Israeli media, and this was before he entered the White House, and we should be aware of this situation.
Sixth, we don’t know what gift Trump gave Netanyahu for agreeing to his demand for a ceasefire. According to the leaked news, one of the most obvious of these gifts is the green light to Netanyahu with the full support of the United States to resume the war after the first phase of the agreement, as well as new arms contracts and the payment of the costs of the Gaza war from the treasury of the United States and Arab countries and the lifting of sanctions against the terrorist settlers and more importantly the approval of the West Bank annexation plans.

Atwan went on to talk about five important developments, the results of which will lead to radical changes in the Arab world and the establishment of a new Middle East with different political, military and governance colors.
From Atwan’s point of view, these changes include;
– The stability of the myth that ended with the decisive victory in Gaza and returned the trust to the Arab world.
– Failure of all efforts to root out the resistance and displace their supporters.
– The weakening of the ceasefire in Lebanon and the increase in its violations by the Israeli regime, so that it has been violated more than 550 times by this regime.
– The fragile situation in Syria and the increased possibility of strong resistance in its lands, and perhaps against the new rulers and the Israeli invaders.
– The continuation of missile attacks in Yemen, which has been going on since before the ceasefire, and has not been stopped despite the attacks of the United States, England and Israel.
Atwan wrote: We should not rely too much on Trump and his actions, because he has a contemptuous view of Arabs.
