How was the “unity of the fields” strategy crystallized in the Gaza war?

PNN – During the 80 days since the Gaza war, the resistance axis showed that the strategy of uniting the fields is not a slogan, but an equation that is being crystallized and developed to advance the joint defense against the American-Zionist threats.

According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, contrary to the opinion of some who believed that with the escalation of the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, the “slogan of the unity of the fields” of the resistance will lead it to launch a major war, the nature of the components of the axis of the resistance and its capabilities in front of the classical armies, i.e. the American forces and the Israeli army and their other allies, required it to fully adhere to the principles of asymmetric warfare, which means focusing on the enemy’s weak points and countering them at the right time and place.

The Al-Khanadaq website published a note on this matter and wrote that the special conditions of the Gaza war caused the resistance axis to choose the path of gradual participation in order to stop this aggression. This ranged from intelligence support during a military confrontation to targeting US military targets and bases. And after that it was developed and by targeting ships carrying aid for Israel that wanted to move towards occupied Palestine by crossing the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Red Sea, and targeting gas extraction facilities in Karish, it became included in economic and civilian goals.

However, at every stage of this battle, the leaders of the resistance axis left open the possibility of expanding this partnership by using other options and the beginning of a wide and all-encompassing war. Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, in his two recent speeches during the Gaza war, explained the goals and red lines of the resistance axis and emphasized that all options are on the table.

The role of Yemen in the crystallization of the equation of the unity of the fields

Undoubtedly, Yemen had the biggest role in the practical crystallization of this equation. Because it was able to globalize the consequences of Israel and America’s aggression to Gaza after regionalization by imposing the equation of blockade against blockade and prevent the passage of cargo ships bound for occupied Palestine. What made the US to form a naval coalition called “Guardian of Welfare” to deal with this strategic threat, so as not to pay the costs of dealing with Yemen in this “impossible and dangerous mission” alone. While Sana’a has repeatedly emphasized that this equation will only include ships whose origin or destination is the occupied territories and is not a threat to world trade in any way. This was complementary to other steps taken by Sana’a in support of the Palestinian issue, including missile and drone attacks on Eilat city, which, according to Israeli sources, has caused 85% of its port activities to stop.

The leader of the Ansarullah movement, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, in response to the formation of the American “Guardian of Welfare” coalition, emphasized the continuation of this escalating approach regardless of its challenges and results, and Sana’a’s readiness to respond decisively to this matter.

The author went on to write about the importance of the damage caused to the Zionist regime by Yemen:

– Eilat port is the only port that connects the Israeli regime to the East Asian region and allows Tel Aviv to bypass the Suez Canal. Imports from the East to Israel are estimated at 95 billion dollars annually.

– Closing Bab al-Mandeb to ships bound for Israel will increase the travel time of cargo ships that go to Israel from the east through routes around the African continent by about 4 to 5 weeks. This will increase the price of imported products to Israel by about 3%, which is about 3 billion dollars.

– 99% of the occupiers’ imports are by sea, 30% of which is through the Red Sea.

In this regard, the Israeli site “Globes” quoted an intelligence officer of this regime and wrote that the drones of the Yemeni army are for Israel a weapon of mass destruction and a strategic threat at the military level.

He added that Yemen, in addition to enjoying its strategic geographical advantage on the shores of the Red Sea, has an arsenal of missiles and drones and at least 100,000 fighters, which has turned it into an “obvious and tangible danger”. The Yemeni armed forces are equipped with the best ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones and even unmanned navigation vehicles, some of which Sanaa has used against Israel since about two months ago. The Yemenis led a veritable blockade of the Red Sea and can do serious damage, and that is a very important issue.

The role of Iraq

From the very first weeks of the Battle of al-Aqsa, the Iraqi resistance took action to support Palestine and targeted American bases in Iraq and Syria with missiles and drones, so that the number of these attacks exceeded 100 operations. The Islamic resistance of Iraq gradually intensified its operations until it targeted Israel’s targets in Eilat overlooking the Red Sea and its gas facilities in the Mediterranean region with missiles with a range of 400 km and long-range drones, and showed that the material and human ability to strike means hitting any target in occupied Palestine.

The role of the Lebanese resistance

From October 8, 2023, the Islamic resistance of Lebanon – Hezbollah sided with the Palestinian resistance in the battle of Al-Aqsa storm and opened a real front of erosion for the Zionist regime, at the military and settlement levels, and through this front was able to defeat the occupying army for fear of the possibility of a direct entry. and its extensive deployment to the battle, forcing it to deploy almost a third of its forces, including numerous armored vehicles, warplanes, helicopters, and air defense systems, on the northern front. On the other hand, it caused the displacement of about 100,000 settlers in the northern region, which brought major economic losses to Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah also carried out several offensive operations against the targets of the occupying army every day, until the number of these operations reached 22 on some days. The resistance fighters came into action with anti-tank weapons, cannons, missiles, and various weapons, and depending on the purpose, they used the appropriate weapons, focusing on spying and intelligence systems. At the same time, they imposed the rules of deterrence and proportional engagement on the occupying army and showed them that if Lebanese civilians were targeted, the settlers would be targeted.
