Israel received a second slap with the election of “Al-Senwar”/ Netanyahu’s strategic goals were not achieved

PNN – One of the Lebanese analysts addressed the failure of the Zionist regime to achieve its strategic and political goals in the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas movement, and said that this regime, by electing Yahya al-Senwar as Haniyeh’s successor, dealt a second blow after October 7, 2023.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from Rai Elium, Retired Lebanese Brigadier General Mohammad Al-Husseini, referring to the crimes of the Zionist regime against the residents of Gaza and the destruction of seventy percent of the buildings and making them uninhabitable, wrote that this regime continues to commit genocide against the Palestinians and does not pay attention to the Security Council’s resolution and the verdict of the International Criminal Court, and the political and military support of the United States to the occupation continues.

Referring to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’s political office, he said: Time has returned to October 7, 2023 and the day the Zionist regime struck the first blow. The Israeli regime received a second blow with the decision of the Hamas movement to elect Yahya al-Senwar as the head of the political bureau of this movement. This new slap is in a situation where the occupying army is broken and this regime is a prisoner of severe internal disputes. The consequences of Haniyeh’s assassination have added to its political crisis.

Al-Husseini pointed out the error of the Zionist regime in the assassination of Haniyeh and its wrong estimation of Iran’s reaction, as well as the international position on this crime, which exposed the Middle East to a regional war.

He continued: The purpose of Haniyeh’s assassination was to escape to the front of “Benyamin Netanyahu” and to gain achievements.

First, the enemy’s strategic failure, which did not include the scenario of replacing Haniyeh with Yahya al-Senwar as the head of Hamas. This was a great shock and surprise for the occupying regime and also a failure to create division and chaos within Hamas. In fact, with this choice, Hamas showed that it is strong and insists on the option of resistance.

Second, the failure to thwart the indirect negotiations related to the Gaza ceasefire, so that the joint statement of Qatar, Egypt and the United States that the agreement was ready was announced.

Third, the failure to eliminate the number one target of the Zionist enemy. The Zionist regime has not been able to get hold of the person it calls the engineer of Al-Aqsa storm, especially since the first day of the Gaza war, it has considered al-Senwar as one of the targets of the war, so what will happen to this regime after electing al-Senwar as the head of the political bureau of Hamas?

Fourth, the Zionist regime’s goal of assassinating Haniyeh in Tehran was to obtain an imaginary victory for Netanyahu, without taking into account Iran’s inevitable reaction.

Fifth, the assassination of Haniyeh accelerated the delivery of radar systems and air defense equipment, as well as Russian Sukhoi 35 fighters to Iran, which is considered one of the most powerful fighters.

Sixth, since the assassination of Fawad Shekar, the top commander of Hezbollah and Martyr Haniyeh, about 9 million settlers live in fear of the flare-up of the northern front with Hezbollah, and they are also afraid of Iran’s reaction, which is part of the psychological war and impact on the settlers has been delayed. This makes the enemy’s political, economic and social situation more chaotic than before.

This Lebanese brigadier general added: Definitely, the axis of resistance has the ability to react painfully to the Zionist enemy.

In the end, he said: Has the decision to Iran’s response set the negotiations on stopping the war in Gaza in motion? Does the remaining time for Iran’s response enable a permanent ceasefire in Gaza?
