Struggle with pen and weapon

PNN – For two days, his name has been repeatedly mentioned in all media. From the speculations about his martyrdom to today’s noon and the issuance of the official statement of Hamas, this confirmed that he has joined the many martyrs of the resistance. Countless martyrs of soil, homeland and religion… martyrs of steadfastness and continuous struggle… with weapons or with pen, he tried both and won.

Yahya Ibrahim Hassan al-Sanwar, one of the high-ranking members of Hamas, who was recently elected as the head of the political office of Hamas after the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, was born in Khan Yunis camp in 1962. Where it grew and boasted with the concept of jihad and resistance.

He studied Arabic studies at the Islamic University of Gaza and learned the enemy’s language during his long captivity in the prisons of the Zionist regime, and was released from prison when he could read the intellectual productions of the occupiers of his land in Hebrew and even write a work in this language.

During the long years of imprisonment, he wrote the novel “Thorn and Carnation”, which was a remarkable success. Until recently, this work was available on the largest international online book sales sites. But the Zionist lobby forced these sites to remove the work from the site and even remove its introduction from August this year.

This novel, which was introduced on the largest French book selling site (Fnac) with the adjective “influential”, depicts the narrative of resistance in the prisons of the Zionist regime in the form of an autobiography.

In the introduction of this novel, which has been removed from the site today, but images of it can be found on the Internet, it is stated:

This book offers a unique insight into resilience and the spirit of resilience. During his imprisonment, Sanwar reveals an unwavering spirit despite the limitations of his cell.

In this work, you can discover his thoughts and strategies that shaped his role as the leader of the Palestinian cause.

The novel “thorn and carnation” is more than a story of survival; It provides a glimpse into the soul of a movement and the heart of one of its most enigmatic leaders.

Don’t miss reading this book to understand the Middle East. This work narrates part of the living history of this region influenced by the passion and will of a man who continues to influence the geopolitical landscape of the region.

Martyr Yahya Sanwar, although great and influential, was only one of the faces of the resistance against the occupiers, whose flag of struggle will be raised by the hands of other children of Palestine with a weapon or a pen.
