PNN – Hezbollah is using a new type of suicide drones, and this has created a serious challenge for the Israeli army’s military systems.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Al Jazeera, in an analysis referring to Hezbollah’s new fiber-optic-guided drones, wrote: There seems to be a broad consensus that the Israeli army is not at all ready to accept Hezbollah’s new drones.
These drones, inspired by the war in Ukraine, have been used more widely in southern Lebanon against the occupying forces since March last year.
Unlike conventional drones, which are controlled by GPS or radio signals, FPV drones are connected to their operator via fiber optics.
It is worth noting that the Israeli regime’s combat systems usually send jamming to cut off communication between conventional drones and their operators. However, since this type of drone does not use radio signals at all, it is practically immune to enemy interference.
On the other hand, these drones are so small that they are almost impossible to detect.
The Israeli regime is developing laser weapons to counter these drones, but reports indicate that these weapons have been ineffective. The regime also uses weapons such as shotguns, which also do not seem to be effective. The installation of nets is also said to have had a limited effect in preventing these drones.
Experts say that the Israeli army’s concern about the safety of its soldiers in southern Lebanon is seriously increasing, and comments in the media reflect their current mood.
