According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, the Washington Post reported on the assassination of the martyr “Mushtaq Talib al-Saeidi” known as al-Hajj Abu Taqwi, the commander of the 12th Brigade of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi and the operational deputy of the Najaba movement in the attack of the US army’s drones in Baghdad and wrote that this attack “danger of increasing tension in the region”.
This newspaper wrote: “While the United States has targeted sites associated with various groups in Iraq and Syria several times in recent months, the assassination of Mushtaq Talib al-Saeidi, one of the commanders of Najaba and one of the aides to the leader of this group, in such a central location in Baghdad, is a very rare.”
“Patrick Ryder”, the spokesman of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), also described it as a “necessary action” in response to the attack and claimed that Abu Taqvi played a role in planning and executing attacks against Americans.
The Washington Post continued to write: “Washington’s support for Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip, along with increasing Palestinian civilian casualties, has provided new impetus for local groups in Iraq and Syria to try to oust the US-led coalition forces.”
This newspaper quoted this American official and wrote that most of the attacks were carried out using drones or missiles or both together.
According to the Washington Post, yesterday’s attack will increase the pressure on the Iraqi government to speed up the process of expelling American forces, and this is in the context that 2.5 years have passed since the end of the announced mission to fight ISIS. “Yahya Rasool”, the spokesman of the Iraqi army, also called the US attack on the previous day “against the duty of fighting terrorism”.
According to the American officials, 2,500 soldiers of this country are present in Iraq under the pretext of “training and counseling”; About 900 soldiers are stationed in different regions of Syria.
In this regard, an American military official announced on Wednesday in an interview with Al-Mayadeen network that at least 118 operations have been carried out against American military bases in Iraq and Syria since October 17.
According to this report, so far the Iraqi resistance has attacked the American bases in Ain al-Asad, near Erbil Airport, Harir Iraq and Kharab al-Jeer, al-Shadadi, al-Tanf, al-Rimilan, al-Malkiyya, military bases near the oil fields of Koniko and al-Omar, Sabz village in Syria, with suicide bombers and drones. The purpose of these operations is to put pressure on the White House to stop the continuous support of the Israeli occupation in the current war in Gaza.
The American CNN network also predicted an increase in the possibility of American military casualties, and announced that this issue represents a new and unpleasant foreign crisis for the United States, especially in the midst of the effort to re-elect Joe Biden for the presidency.
The emphasis of the Iraqi resistance on the continuation of the attacks is in the situation that since the first weeks of the Battle of al-Aqsa, the Iraqi resistance has taken action to support Palestine and targeted the American bases in Iraq and Syria with missiles and drones, so that the number of these attacks has increased to more than 100 operations.
