Arab Parliament: Israel’s burning of Gaza hospital is a new crime against humanity.
According to Russia Today, the Arab Parliament issued a statement strongly condemning the Israeli army’s action to set fire to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip and forcibly expel patients, medical staff, and their companions.
The statement continued by emphasizing that this new crime has added to the series of Israeli war crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and that these actions are a clear violation of international humanitarian law and all international laws and customs.
The Arab Parliament emphasized that Israel’s insistence on destroying the Gaza Strip’s healthcare system is the result of the international community’s shameful silence against this regime’s crimes.
The Parliament called on the international community and the Security Council to fulfill their moral, political, and legal responsibilities and immediately put an end to these crimes and establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The Arab legislative body also called for the trial of Israeli war criminals for their crimes against the Palestinian people.
According to reports, the Israeli army set fire to Kamal Adwan Hospital and its surroundings on Friday, forcibly evicting patients, wounded, medical staff and their companions from the hospital.
Rossiya El-Youm reported, citing its correspondent, that a number of medical staff lost their lives in the deliberate arson attack by Israeli forces at Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip was the largest hospital in the region, providing services to more than 400,000 people.
