Attack on Israeli Consulate in New York; Suspect Arrested.
According to the Times of Israel, the US security service announced that it had thwarted an attack on the Israeli consulate in New York.
According to the Israeli media, the suspect in the attack was named “Abdullah Ezzeddine Taha Muhammad Hassan.” The media claims that he was a supporter of terrorist groups, including the ISIS terrorist group, and is currently in FBI custody.
The media also claimed that the individual resides in Virginia and that he had several fake accounts on social media in which he supported the ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorist groups.
In a statement, the Israeli Consul General in New York, Ofir Akunis, referred to the incident and praised the US security services for their quick action and cooperation in thwarting the attack on the Israeli consulate.
