California residents displaced; scenes from the Gaza war in Los Angeles’
According to Al Jazeera, since the fires began in the US state of California, especially in the city of Los Angeles, questions have continued to be raised about the reasons for the inability of American authorities to quickly control the fires.
While many Americans accuse the Biden administration of wasting American money in Ukraine and Israel, others are asking the authorities in Kyiv and Tel Aviv how they intend to respond to the aid collected from American tax revenues.
A new comparison has also been made between the fires in Los Angeles and the scenes of the war in the Gaza Strip that Israel has been waging with US support since October 2023.
Los Angeles residents ask Ukraine and Israel: Will you help us?
An American citizen living in Los Angeles said: Well, Ukrainian and Israeli friends, we gave money and helped you, now what? Will you send us some money? What if you help us? You see, here’s the problem, we work hard to pay our taxes, and then the proceeds go to their war.
From Los Angeles to Gaza
An American citizen, describing the fires and their spread in a video, said: “Smoke is clearing from the Los Angeles sky and these are new images of the Hollywood Hills and Palisades fires that broke out last night. The devastation is amazing and the residents have lost all their belongings.”
He continued: “The only thing that comes to mind when I see these images is that Palisades is now like Gaza. Gaza has been experiencing devastation for 15 months due to the dropping of American-made bombs. Now we are seeing the same conditions in Los Angeles, where all signs of life have been destroyed and its residents have been displaced due to the weather disaster.
