China and Pakistan: To form an inclusive and moderate government in Afghanistan

PNN – In a joint statement, the Foreign Minister of China and the Prime Minister of Pakistan called for encouraging the Taliban to create an inclusive government and adopt moderate policies in Afghanistan.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Keqiang and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a joint statement, referring to the situation in Afghanistan, emphasized that the two countries agreed to strengthen communication and coordination on the issue of Afghanistan.

The statement adds: The two sides called for the joint efforts of the international community to encourage the interim government of Afghanistan to create an inclusive political framework, adopt moderate policies and promote good neighborliness.

This statement also requested the Taliban to establish an inclusive government and adopt moderate policies and added: They also called for strengthening anti-terrorism cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels to support Afghanistan in adopting comprehensive measures to eradicate terrorism.

The two sides also “asked the interim government of Afghanistan to take clear and verifiable measures to eliminate and destroy all terrorist groups based in Afghanistan, which continue to pose a serious threat to regional and global security, and prevent the use of Afghanistan’s territory against its neighbors.”

The statement continued: The two sides also agreed to play a constructive role in helping Afghanistan achieve sustainable development and integration into the international community.
