Disruption to flights at Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd Airport following a Yemeni army attack

PNN – Media reports indicate a new attack by the Yemeni army on Saudi Arabia’s Dammam Airport, resulting in the cancellation of 53 flights.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; media sources have reported a new attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, causing disruptions to air traffic at the facility.

The report notes that Flight Radar data shows flight operations at King Fahd Airport have once again faced halts and irregularities. Since early Sunday morning, 53 flights have been cancelled, and some flights that were circling or held in the airspace near the airport have been diverted to Al-Qassim Airport.

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation has also confirmed that King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was targeted, stating that damage assessments and safety inspections of the airport facilities are underway in coordination with the relevant authorities.
