PNN – Media outlets are reporting a drone attack on a train carrying European officials—including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson—near the Polish border.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Euronews; a passenger train transporting high-ranking European officials—including former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his senior aides—was targeted by an attacking drone near the Polish border.
The report states that Ukraine’s state-owned railway company, Ukrzaliznytsia, announced that on Sunday, a Russian drone struck the locomotive of a passenger train just two kilometers from the Polish border.
Reports indicate that the attack took place in Ukraine’s Volyn region; the incident is not believed to have resulted in any casualties.
The company stated on its Telegram channel: For the second consecutive day, the enemy has attacked the railway network. Today, in the Volyn region—just two kilometers from the Polish border—the enemy targeted the locomotive of a passenger train.
The team responsible for monitoring threats to rail services identified the danger and alerted the train crew in time, enabling them to take measures to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
