Drone flight ban in New Jersey, USA after suspicious flights of flying objects

PNN – The US Federal Aviation Administration on Thursday local time issued a one-month ban on the flight of drones in certain areas of New Jersey and announced that only for “special security reasons” and after issuing a license from the government, companies and individuals are allowed to use drones.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this is despite the fact that over the past few weeks, dozens of drone sightings at night have been reported across New Jersey and other states along the east coast of the United States.

According to American media reports, these sightings occurred in residential areas as well as near a military research and production center, which caused panic among local residents and caused speculation about the origin of these drones.

The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and other US government agencies and officials have repeatedly said there is no evidence that these drones pose a threat to public safety.

The Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday imposed temporary flight restrictions banning unlicensed drones from flying over parts of New Jersey. The ban will remain in effect until January 17 and will apply to areas including Bridgewater, Cedar Grove, North Brunswick, Metuchen, Evesham, Elizabeth, Jersey City and more.

These restrictions state that no drones are allowed to operate within one nautical mile of designated airspace, including from the ground up to 400 feet above the ground.

According to the statement, pilots who do not follow these restrictions may be intercepted, detained and questioned by the police or security agents.

The US government may also use “lethal force” against drones if they pose an “imminent security threat”.
