PNN – Ryan Crocker, former US ambassador to the region, emphasized in an interview with the Washington Post that the recent war against Iran not only did not weaken Tehran, but also increased political cohesion in the country.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Ryan Crocker, a former US ambassador to the region, told the Washington Post that the recent war against Iran has made the country’s political leaders more cohesive.

Crocker, who is responsible for conducting several rounds of negotiations with Iran after the events of September 11, 2001, said: These are extremely tough people, and almost all of them have a history of participating in the Iran-Iraq War.

He continued by saying about Donald Trump’s demand for Iran’s surrender: It’s ridiculous for anyone to imagine that they can be forced to surrender by bombing.

Crocker’s comments are part of a report published by the Washington Post on Wednesday about the consequences of war with Iran. The report states that many prominent figures in Iran who previously thought that reconciliation between Iran and the United States was possible have now taken a different approach as a result of the war.

The Washington Post wrote that the war started by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu seems to have actually strengthened the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran both domestically and internationally.
