PNN – Israel’s Channel 7 revealed that the regime’s military has been unable to contain Hezbollah’s fiber-optic-guided suicide drones and has held an emergency meeting to address the threat, which has become a daily operational crisis.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; The Israeli television channel Seven revealed that the regime’s army was forced to hold an extraordinary meeting to review the threat following its failure to intercept Hezbollah’s fiber-optic suicide drones in southern Lebanon; a threat that, according to military sources, has become a daily and eroding crisis for military forces stationed in southern Lebanon and has challenged the army’s operational capacity.

According to the report, this issue was discussed urgently at a recent meeting of the army’s senior command at the Ramat David base, along with an admission of the structural weakness of the regime’s defense systems, and the senior commanders present at the meeting warned of the army’s inability to control these drones.

Channel Seven quoted a military commander as saying at the meeting that he acknowledged the Israeli army’s inability to deal with this threat, saying that drones have become a serious and significant operational challenge for the army.

Meanwhile, commanders of the Israeli army’s combat units stationed in southern Lebanon have expressed deep disappointment over the lack of defensive means and the ineffectiveness of existing defense systems.

One of the commanders present on the battlefield has stated: There is no action to be taken in this case. He added that the only official instruction to the troops is: be alert and if you see a drone, shoot it with individual weapons.

Following this failure, some Israeli army units have started to install nets on poles, houses and windows so that suicide drones may get stuck in them and not reach their target. One officer present in southern Lebanon has ridiculed this measure, saying: This initiative was formed on the battlefield due to serious gaps in the army’s defensive capabilities.

According to Channel Seven, even Tomer Bar, the commander of the Israeli Air Force, was reprimanded by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir about six months ago for his inability to deal with the threat of these drones.

This admission comes as a Hezbollah suicide drone hit two Israeli soldiers during an operation in southern Lebanon on Monday, seriously wounding them.

The Hebrew newspaper Ma’ariv previously revealed that Hezbollah has used hundreds of fiber-optic guided drones in recent operations – drones that, unlike conventional models, are not dependent on wireless or satellite systems and are connected directly to the operator via fiber-optic cables. This has effectively challenged the Israeli army’s electronic warfare superiority.

According to Israeli security assessments, Hezbollah has activated hundreds of suicide drones during ground operations, along with mortar and anti-tank missile fire, a move that Ma’ariv described as part of Hezbollah’s strategy to prevent the advance of the occupying forces and thwart them on the battlefield. This strategy relies on fighting from a distance and avoiding direct confrontation.

Ma’ariv wrote that initially it was thought that the range of these drones would not exceed two kilometers, but during the battles it became clear that their range would exceed ten kilometers; a development reminiscent of the first generation of wire-guided anti-tank missiles.
