“Hannibal Protocol” is one of the principles of the Israeli army, which was implemented since 1986. According to this protocol, if a soldier is captured by the enemy, commanders are allowed to take any action to prevent his capture, even if this action endangers the life of the captured soldier. Since 1986, after several Zionist soldiers were captured by Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the Hannibal Protocol was activated by the Zionist army to prevent the capture of soldiers.
According to this instruction, the Israeli army has the duty to prevent military forces from being captured, in fact, Hannibal’s instruction means “eliminate your own soldier in any way possible so that he is not captured”.
