Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire with Lebanon in front of the monitoring committee.
While the committee overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli regime is set to begin its work next Tuesday, the regime continues to violate the agreement, and there are concerns that the Zionist enemy may exploit the developments in Syria and the attempt to revive the terrorist sedition in this country, which Israel and its allies are behind, to resume its aggression against southern Lebanon. In this regard, the Zionists continued to violate the ceasefire and their aggression against Lebanon until yesterday, Friday, although at a slower pace.
According to Al-Akhbar, the Lebanese Army Command announced yesterday: The head of the committee overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire, American General Jasper Jeffers, along with French General Guillaume Punchin and a representative of UNIFIL (the so-called UN peacekeeping forces based in Lebanon), flew over the skies of Lebanon in a military helicopter to examine the field reality.
The Zionist army fired machine guns yesterday at the villages of the central region, especially the towns of Aita al-Shaab and Ramiyah in southern Lebanon, causing confusion and tension among the people, who fled their homes. The occupying army also bombed the area around Ain Arab, and the regime’s fighter jets continued their frequent flights in these areas.
In this regard, the Lebanese Council of Ministers plans to hold a special meeting today at an army barracks, where General Joseph Aoun, the commander of the country’s army, will present a plan to strengthen the army’s deployment in the southern Litani region, in addition to reviewing the situation. The meeting will also assess the arrangements and procedures related to the process of assessing the damage and removing debris to rebuild the devastation caused by the Israeli aggression, especially since the people have made many requests to the government to accelerate the improvement of the communications sector and internet services.
People in several villages in southern Lebanon continue to exhume the bodies of martyrs, and funerals for a number of resistance fighters were held in several southern Lebanese towns. Families of other martyrs are also waiting for the army to exhume the bodies of their children from under the rubble.
This is while Lebanese media reported this morning, Saturday, that the Zionist enemy warplanes bombed the areas around the Litani River between the towns of East Zotar and Yahmer al-Shaqif in southern Lebanon, which is a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.
