March of thousands of people from Istanbul, Türkiye in support of the people of Gaza

PNN – The Fateh district in Istanbul on Sunday witnessed a massive march to condemn the Zionist regime’s genocidal crime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Turkey’s Anatolia news agency, this protest march started from the historical Fatih Mosque in Istanbul and ended with the participation of about three thousand people in Edirne Qapi area.

The participants in this march were holding Turkish and Palestinian flags and banners on which were written materials supporting Palestine and condemning the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the residents of Gaza.

This march was also accompanied by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, recitation of prayers and chanting of Takbeer and slogans against the Israeli and American regimes.

In this march, Beheshti Ismail Sonqor, the head of the Mavi Marmara Freedom and Solidarity Association, said that the image that Israel shows in the media regarding the possibility of access to Gaza is unreal.

Pointing out that access to Gaza is possible through ships, Sonqor added: The “Azadi” ship, which was preparing to leave Istanbul to provide aid to the people of Gaza, faced many obstacles from the Zionist regime.

Hundreds of Swedish people also marched towards the embassy of this regime in Stockholm and gathered in front of it on Sunday in protest against the barbaric crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and in support of the Palestinian people.

The participants in this march carried banners with the themes “Free Palestine, Free Gaza”, “Stop the Genocide” and “Boycott Israel”.

Ono Horm, one of the activists who attended the event, called the Swedish government’s continued support for the Zionist regime a tragedy and said: The genocide in Gaza is the worst thing that has happened since World War II and the Nazi genocide.

Criticizing the Swedish media for not reflecting what is happening in Gaza, he said: The people of Sweden support the Palestinian people despite the indifference of the media and the government of this country to the situation in Gaza.

Maya Veliz Westberg, another attendee at the ceremony, called what is happening in Gaza a genocide and said: I don’t understand why the world is silent against the Israeli invasion of this area.

He added: Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister of the Zionist regime) takes the same terrible decisions against the Palestinian people that Germany and (Adolf) Hitler took against their own people 70 years ago.

The European-Palestinian Media Center previously announced in a report that 22,000 demonstrations were held in European countries in support of Gaza and the Palestinian people.

Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Sweden witnessed the most demonstrations in support of Gaza and the Palestinian people, respectively, according to the report.

The European-Palestinian Media Center has also stated in its report that hundreds of cases of police and security forces attacking these activities have been observed in demonstrations and protest activities against the Zionist regime.
