PNN – Israeli and Indian media have revealed details regarding military cooperation between defense companies from both nations.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Israel’s Kan broadcasting network—citing Indian media—reported that the Israeli defense firm Rafael is negotiating with an Indian defense company to domestically manufacture Tamir interceptor missiles within India.

Citing the news network NDTV, this Hebrew-language media outlet reported that two defense companies are negotiating the establishment of a production line for Tamir missiles, aiming to increase the inventory of interceptor missiles while simultaneously reducing production costs.

Itay Blumental, the outlet’s military correspondent, stated that Rafael is in talks with Indian defense firms to leverage their capabilities for the joint production of Tamir missiles.

These missiles are utilized in the Iron Dome system, and the negotiations are taking place within the framework of agreements designed to enhance resilience and replenish existing stockpiles.

This Hebrew-language media outlet acknowledged that one of the reasons for this agreement is to secure storage capacity for contingencies; naturally, the potential to sell these interceptor missiles to other countries and reduce production costs was also taken into account.

According to the “Kan” news outlet, the Director-General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense traveled to India three weeks ago, accompanied by an Israeli military delegation.

A statement issued by the Israeli Ministry of Defense last month emphasized that the visit was undertaken on the orders of the Defense Minister and in line with the Ministry’s strategy to boost military exports—a move intended to exert foreign policy influence and support the Israeli economy.

It is worth noting that, according to reports and news published in various media outlets—including Hebrew-language media—the Zionist regime faced a severe shortage of ammunition for its air defense systems, particularly the Iron Dome, following the 12-day and 40-day wars as well as the conflict with Hezbollah.
