PNN – A Western media outlet referred to Saudi Arabia’s latest stance on normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Russia Today, a Western media outlet referred to Saudi Arabia’s latest stance on normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.
CNN reported, citing a Saudi source, that Riyadh will only normalize relations with Tel Aviv after there is a clear process for establishing a Palestinian state.
The source said that Saudi Arabia will not normalize its relations with the Zionist regime until there is a definitive process for establishing a Palestinian state.
This comment is in response to the US President’s blunt statements about the need to normalize relations between several Arab and Islamic countries with the Tel Aviv regime in exchange for an end to the war in the region.
He added that Saudi Arabia is committed to its position, which is the existence of a definitive path towards the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Previously, in November last year, Trump had asked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to normalize Saudi relations with the Zionist regime, but bin Salman did not agree to this issue.
Bin Salman made normalizing relations with the Zionist regime conditional on ensuring the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Trump wrote in an article: I asked the leaders of the countries present at the talks on Saturday to sign the Abraham Accords.
The US President held a telephone conversation with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, and the UAE on Saturday about the regional situation and the continuation of the ceasefire and cessation of hostilities that Iran is demanding in return for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz under Tehran’s conditions.
The UAE, along with Bahrain and Morocco, signed the agreement during Trump’s first term, normalizing relations and recognizing the Tel Aviv regime, and the two sides opened embassies.
However, some countries, such as Saudi Arabia, see any normalization of relations as contingent on the establishment of a Palestinian state based on a two-state solution with East Jerusalem as its capital. Trump has called on Riyadh and Doha to take the lead and for the other countries mentioned to join in.
