PNN – On Friday, at the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Russia called on the Israeli regime to immediately end the war in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Russia’s Tass news agency, Russia’s representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, noted that Israel’s siege and attacks on Gaza have caused a humanitarian crisis, damage to medical infrastructure, and widespread displacement.
He said: We are extremely worried about the continuous attacks on civilian facilities. Refugees number in the millions, while the medical system in the Gaza Strip is nearly destroyed.

Russia’s representative at the United Nations emphasized Moscow’s adherence to the “two-state” solution and added that Israel’s security is guaranteed only through the implementation of Palestinian rights on its land based on the borders established in 1967 with its capital in East Jerusalem.
Since October 7, 2023, following the failure of the Al-Aqsa storm operation by the Palestinian resistance groups led by Hamas, the Israeli regime has started a war of destruction against the Gaza Strip. During this period, most of the houses and infrastructures of the Gaza Strip have been severely destroyed in this war, and the miserable siege and severe humanitarian crisis, along with the unprecedented famine and hunger, threaten the lives of the residents of this area.
Israel’s attacks are not limited to the Gaza Strip, and the occupation regime of Jerusalem has expanded its belligerence in the West Bank, Lebanon and other Middle East regions with the full support of the United States and its allies.
The Ministry of Health of Gaza announced in its latest information that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, at the same time as the start of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, has reached 45,581 people and the number of injured people has reached 108,438.
