PNN – A military source affiliated with Ansarullah announced on Sunday night that Saudi-backed mercenaries had been driven out of an area in Taiz province.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Al-Mayadeen TV; the military source stated that Ansarullah forces succeeded in expelling these mercenaries from the Al-Masrakh district in the southeast of Taiz province.

The Yemeni army reported the complete encirclement of Taiz city center and the death of more than 200 Saudi-backed militants in Yemen.

The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces dismissed claims by Saudi Arabia and its allied media outlets regarding the recapture of certain Yemeni areas from the Sana’a government and the armed forces, emphasizing: Our forces have maintained all battlefield gains, and the enemy’s propaganda is merely a manufactured attempt to portray a false heroism in order to appease its masters.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the armed forces, announced that more than 200 Saudi-aligned militants were killed or wounded during dozens of attacks by Yemeni armed forces in the Ras al-Ara and al-Suqya areas.

He added that the casualties and losses inflicted upon the “Saudi enemy” forces—in terms of both personnel and military hardware—are unprecedented compared to all previous confrontations.

Brigadier General Saree stated that over the past few hours, their armed forces had launched dozens of attacks against concentrations of militias affiliated with the “Saudi enemy” in the east of Al-Jawf province and targeted their gathering points east of the “Raghwan” area in Ma’rib province, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries among them and the destruction of several vehicles by fire.

In this context, Brigadier General Abed al-Thawr, an advisor to the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, dismissed claims by Riyadh and its supporting media outlets regarding the recapture of certain areas from Yemeni armed forces—particularly along the West Coast—stating that the Yemeni armed forces maintain an optimal defensive posture along the country’s West Coast.
