PNN – The former Prime Minister of the Zionist regime once again claimed that Qatar is a dangerous adversary, noting that the danger lies in the fact that Doha portrays itself as a proponent of peace.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing the Palestinian Information Center, Naftali Bennett—speaking during a visit to the Netiv HaAsara area near the Gaza Strip in remarks broadcast by the regime’s Channel 12—stated: Qatar has once again taken control of Gaza’s fate; decisions are being made in Doha, not in Jerusalem.
He also remarked that Hamas currently possesses a larger number of armed fighters and members of its “elite” units compared to October 7.
The former Israeli prime minister had previously engaged in hyperbolic rhetoric, alleging that Qatar supports Iran as well as regional resistance groups—including Hamas and Hezbollah—and labeling Doha a “global sponsor of terrorism” and a “terrorist in a suit.”
He had also previously claimed that the Emir of Qatar seeks Israel’s destruction and vowed to designate Qatar an enemy state should he return to the premiership.
In this context, Gadi Eisenkot—the former Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli military and current leader of the “Yashar” party—welcomed the remarks made by Naftali Bennett (leader of the “Together” party) at a press conference in Nir Oz, in which Bennett announced his intention to officially designate Qatar a hostile state.
In this regard, Eisenkot said: I listened to these remarks and fully endorse the assessment of the role Qatar plays against Israel—both in Gaza and on the international stage.
He added: It is incumbent upon Israel to review its policy toward Qatar and make a decision on the matter in consultation with the Mossad, the Shin Bet, and the National Security Council.
Eisenkot emphasized: I do not suggest that this be done as a result of political maneuvering—particularly by those who previously held influential positions, such as defense ministers or prime ministers, and were in a position to make decisions. I say this as someone who was privy to this issue within the Cabinet.
The head of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, asserting that Qatar plays a highly negative role against Israel, stated that the decision to designate Qatar as a hostile state must be treated seriously rather than dismissed as merely an election-season statement.
Previously, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett—claiming that Qatar exerts influence over key U.S. decision-making centers and universities, as well as Israel’s most vital security institution, the Prime Minister’s Office—had declared: In the next government, we will officially classify Qatar as a hostile state.
Bennett made these remarks as the election race in the occupied territories enters a critical phase, with Knesset elections scheduled for October 27.
The latest poll by the Zionist regime’s Channel 12 indicates that the majority of Zionists (59%) no longer wish for Benjamin Netanyahu to continue as prime minister, with only 33% considering him a suitable choice to form a government.
According to the survey, Netanyahu continues to trail Gadi Eisenkot, the former Chief of Staff of the Zionist regime’s army. An overall assessment of the results reveals that most Israelis do not support Netanyahu remaining in power after nearly 17 years of leadership.
