Last month (November), the presidency of the UN Security Council was held by the United Kingdom.
The UN Security Council has 5 permanent members and 10 non-permanent members. The presidency rotates for one month, and the head of each country’s delegation is known as the president of the UN Security Council.
The permanent members of the UN Security Council are Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, and the membership of non-permanent members is for 2 years. Albania, Brazil, Ecuador, Gabon, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland are the current non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.
