According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this American official, whose name has not been disclosed, said: These (attacks) should be the end of direct military fire exchange between Israel and Iran. As far as we are concerned, (last night’s attacks) should end the direct exchange of fire between Israel and Iran.
The official emphasized that his statement was the official view of Washington and “has been communicated to our partners across the region”.
According to him, Joe Biden and his security team “in recent weeks have encouraged the Israelis to adopt a targeted and proportionate response that carries little risk of civilian casualties. That is exactly what happened tonight.”

According to this official, Biden said last week in a call with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel that any attack should be designed to prevent further attacks against Israel and reduce the risk of further escalation.
