According to the report of the Pakistan News Network, this afternoon, Kuwaiti media quoted the head of the Amiri Court of Kuwait and reported that Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, who had been in the hospital for some time due to illness, died.
After announcing this news, the Council of Ministers of Kuwait officially introduced his crown prince, Meshaal Al-Ahmad, as the new Emir of Kuwait, according to the country’s constitution. Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, 83 years old, was the half-brother of the former Emir of Kuwait, who was elected as the new Emir by the Cabinet of Ministers an hour ago.

Meshaal Al-Ahmad was elected as the Crown Prince of Kuwait by Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, the then Emir of Kuwait, following the death of “Sheikh Al-Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah”, the then Emir of Kuwait, and with the approval of the People’s Assembly of Kuwait.
The new Emir of Kuwait was the seventh son of the then ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who graduated from Hendon University in England in the field of police science in 1960 and subsequently entered the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait.
In 2004, he was elected as the deputy head of the National Guard to the rank of minister, and 14 years later, he was elected as the crown prince. The new Emir of Kuwait has three sons and seven daughters.
