PNN – Iran has speedboats that surprise all enemy weapons and forces.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Calcalist newspaper admitted in a report published in its issue today, Friday, that Iran has thousands of fast warships with which it has been able to navigate the Persian Gulf since the Iraq-Iran war, while helicopters and attack aircraft such as the A-10 have failed to counter them.
The introduction to the report states: Iran succeeded in closing the Strait of Hormuz and shutting down oil exports from the Persian Gulf countries. Iran did this with several weapons.
First, missiles fired from the coast, second, dangerous sea mines, and today we will talk about the third, namely, speedboats, of which Iran has more than 3,000 and they are fast and destructive.
According to the author of the report, Iranian speedboats have unique characteristics that have made them difficult and difficult targets for aircraft, helicopters, and drones, while another reason for this difficulty is the (stubborn) morale of the Revolutionary Guards.
In another part of its report, the media outlet admitted that once in 1988, there was a confrontation between two US military vessels and 13 Iranian speedboats, in which the Iranian speedboats managed to initially drive the American attack helicopters away from the scene. The conflict did not force any of the boats to retreat until they apparently received orders from their commanders to leave the scene of the conflict, while everyone knows what dangers their missiles could have posed to the American vessels if the boats had come closer.
This is while during the war with Iraq, ships heading to this country, not knowing what was going to happen to them, suddenly a group of boats surrounded them and set them on fire; the Iranians had named these boats Tariq but everyone had nicknamed them Bug Hammer or Nightmare. If they had done this to two American destroyers, these destroyers would certainly have ended up in a large volume of salt water at the bottom of the sea.
Iran then developed and updated its small fast combat boats in an amazing way. Today, these boats have stealth capabilities, are armed with weapons with a range of several dozen kilometers, and their number has multiplied tremendously.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps did not stop at buying fast boats, but also reproduced them with new designs and engineering based on its combat needs.
In another part of the report, it is stated that many people ask the question why Apache helicopters and A-10 attack aircraft have failed against these boats, however, many people do not know that attacking a vessel is one of the most complex missions of any air force, even if its coordinates are available, it is still very difficult.
Any vessel can be either in the sea, or in a port and dock, or in a ship repair yard, but Iran’s speedboats have added another location to it, and that is underground.
Iran has dug tunnels into the rocks along its coastline and boats are launched through camouflaged openings, so it can be said that Iran’s fleet of speedboats is safe from any bombing operations and attacks on anchorages, while if drones approach these areas for reconnaissance, they will be shot down by air defenses.
In any case, Iran does not need a large fleet of speedboats to completely close the Strait of Hormuz; just one speedboat firing missiles at a ship and then hiding is enough to do the job.
Because in this case, American, Omani, and Emirati monitoring systems will monitor this missile and warn the crew of the ship in question, and the ship will return to its previous location, while other ships will move away from this location after being informed of this issue and the Strait of Hormuz will simply be closed.
