Haaretz: Negotiations in Switzerland solidify resistance’s foothold on northern borders

Switzerland

PNN – A Hebrew media outlet admitted that the results of the end-of-war talks in Switzerland were contrary to Tel Aviv’s expectations.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Haaretz admitted in a note that in Tel Aviv they had hoped for the failure of the talks, but in Switzerland everyone worked hard for the success of the talks, the planning and preparation of the meeting was at a high level, and its confidentiality was maintained.

Lisa Rozovsky, the author of this article, admitted that Iran achieved much more than expected, making Israel’s worst nightmares come true. The United States agreed with Iran at this meeting that Tehran would have an official say in whatever happens in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Didn’t we talk about unity of the fields before?

Today, Iran has gained an official foothold on its northern borders (occupied Palestine), and along with that, virtually everyone recognized Hezbollah as a member of the talks and gave it legitimacy.

Another part of this article states: The Iranians were careful not to please the other side (the terrorist government of America) even with a joint souvenir photo. Meanwhile, while Vance and the mediators were speaking peaceful words, Trump once again released his empty words with an undiplomatic discourse, so that Iran would also leave the negotiations in response.

The media wrote: In a simple description, it should be said: Iran agreed to keep the Strait of Hormuz open as long as Lebanon was in ideal conditions of peace, something similar to the conditions that prevailed in Lebanon yesterday, without firing a single missile or bullet and without Israeli airstrikes.

If we look at the text of the final statement and even read it carefully several times, you cannot avoid the following conclusion: Qatar, Pakistan and especially Iran, through official statements, will be directly involved in what is happening in southern Lebanon.

They will have the official right to limit Israeli military actions or at least ask for their limitation within the framework of peace negotiations with the United States.

If anyone had any doubts about the nature of the “core settlement,” J.D. Vance (Trump’s vice president) explained that it was a mechanism designed to engage Hezbollah and avoid what he called the “chicken-and-egg dilemma”: that is, to prevent conflicts of unknown origin.

It is important to pause and consider the significance of this: Hezbollah is gaining legitimacy from the US government as a regional actor with whom Israel must coordinate its response.

Haaretz also admitted: In recent days, and especially yesterday, Israel has made desperate attempts to salvage its lost credibility. Along with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s repeated statements that Israel will remain in the “security zone” as long as necessary, and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz’s statements that the Israeli army will not withdraw from the Beaufort base, an Israeli source revealed to reporters yesterday that Israel is indeed expected to withdraw from the “yellow line” it has drawn in southern Lebanon.

Practically, a withdrawal is clearly imminent. The details are expected to become clearer later this week after the fifth round of talks between Israel and Lebanon at diplomatic and military levels in Washington. But what will these talks actually mean, given the “de-escalation core” announced by Qatar, Pakistan and the United States, which has been endorsed by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and was even mentioned in an official statement this morning?
