PNN – Zionist security circles admit that the recent war had the opposite results and intensified Iran’s threat against Israel.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Rai El Youm, continuing the Zionists’ confessions of growing despair in the occupation regime’s circles and society after the regime’s failure to achieve its goals in the war against Iran, Alon Mizrahi, a famous Zionist analyst and journalist, stated: It should be noted that to date, Washington and Tel Aviv have not achieved any of the goals of their joint war against Iran, which were: destroying Iran’s nuclear program, overthrowing the country’s regime, and eliminating the ballistic missile project.
Iran has waged a complex battle of equations against Israel
Nadav Eyal, a political analyst for the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, also stated in the same context that while Israel claimed that Iran was disappointed and defeated, we see that this country is pursuing a complex battle of equations against Israel.
He added that in the meantime, Israel, which was forced to accept new equations, tried to prove its ability and presence in the regional equations again by attacking the Beirut suburbs and telling the Iranians that their equation was baseless. However, after Iran’s immediate attack on Israel in response to the bombing of the Beirut suburbs, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu felt the need to give a speech and said that Israel would respond to any Iranian missile attack, meaning that Israel’s strategic position was on the path to a dangerous decline.
This Zionist analyst emphasized that this Israeli position is very weak and reflects its dangerous decline, because in recent years we had used a huge military force to stabilize our equations in the region, and the fact that Iran launched the first attack on Israel has created an atmosphere of despair among Israelis.
Israel’s strategic position vis-à-vis Iran has worsened significantly
Danny Citrinovich, former head of the Iran section of the Military Intelligence Organization (AMAN), also wrote in an article published in the Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom: A year has passed since Israel’s first direct war with Iran, which took place in June 2025, and one thing is very clear: Israel’s strategic position vis-à-vis Iran has deteriorated significantly.
He added; The Iranians have created a new strategic reality that will make it difficult for Israel to confront the Iranian threat in the future. About a year ago, Israel launched its first war against Iran to confront two existential threats that the country posed: Tehran’s nuclear program and its missile program.
The former Zionist military official emphasized; Later, in the recent major war against Iran, the United States and Israel worked together to overthrow the Tehran regime and destroy its missile and nuclear programs. On the surface, this operation led to several successes: the elimination of senior Iranian officials and damage to a set of the country’s military capabilities.
Israel suffered a major defeat against Iran with its arrogance and false assumptions
He clarified: But a deeper look shows that Israel suffered a major defeat in this war, and this defeat was due to the excessive arrogance and false assumptions of the Israeli security and military establishment, which thought that by carrying out a series of attacks they could change Israel’s strategic position vis-à-vis Tehran, but none of these measures achieved the intended goals and the Tehran regime was not overthrown.
The former head of the Iranian section in Amman continued that even the officials who are working today in the Iranian leadership and government seem to be more strict than the previous ones, and no changes have been made in the country’s regional policies. Moreover, as recent events have shown, Israel has not been able to push back Iran, which is willing to accept the risk of confrontation to impose new equations; as was evident in Tehran’s willingness to enter a new war in support of Hezbollah.
He noted: Worst of all, the behavior of the US government exacerbates Israel’s difficult situation. Washington is not only seeking an agreement with the Iranian regime, but also limiting Israel’s operational capabilities and insisting that Tel Aviv act in accordance with US policies. This is while such an approach significantly reduces Israel’s deterrent power against Iran.
The former Zionist military official said: The reality shows that the power of the Iranian regime has not only not decreased, but its control and dominance have also been strengthened, and its position in the face of urgent challenges and crises has been stabilized.
Iran emerged stronger after the war
He continued: Iran has survived this war and emerged stronger and more confident than before, maintaining its missile and drone stockpiles, strengthening its nuclear program, and ready to use all means to advance its regional goals. This is a complex strategic reality and poses greater challenges for Israel, especially given its deep dependence on the United States and the political and military assistance it provides.
The author of this article concludes that today the Israeli cabinet faces a very difficult choice: accepting the US deal with Iran, which would indicate Israel’s strategic weakness, even if the expected agreement addresses the nuclear issue. The war that the US and Israel launched against Iran not only did not help to consolidate Tel Aviv’s deterrence against Tehran, but in many ways also made Israel’s strategic position vis-à-vis Iran more difficult, and the balance of power did not change as Israel wanted.
The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz also stated in an article to this effect that the latest round of Iran-Israel conflict proved that Netanyahu’s project and the approach he followed after the Gaza war on October 7, 2023, namely forcing countries to compromise through force and imposition of power, were in fact absurd and have been destroyed. Those who failed to understand this during the two years of the war in Gaza should have understood it with the forced end of the 12-day war in Iran.
The Hebrew media outlet noted: Those who did not understand this reality even after the 12-day war should have learned from the last war with Iran and understood the reality of the collapse of the project and Netanyahu’s approach when the United States was forced to return to the negotiating table with Iran and faced Tehran’s resistance to adhering to its previous conditions.
Haaretz emphasized that the events of the past week have only worsened Netanyahu’s situation. This situation became even clearer when US President Donald Trump publicly warned Netanyahu that he was one step away from being left alone against Iran.
