PNN – The director of Sana’a International Airport announced that the Saudi Arabian air blockade has deprived 24 million passengers of travel over the past decade.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Khaled Al-Shayef, Director General of Sana’a International Airport, stated that the air blockade imposed by Saudi Arabia over the last ten years has had a severe impact on Yemen’s aviation industry and passenger travel.
Citing precise figures regarding these restrictions, he stated that over the past decade, approximately 24 million passengers have been deprived of air travel due to this blockade, and nearly half a million flights scheduled to operate via Sana’a Airport never took place.
It is worth noting that Sana’a International Airport—Yemen’s primary airport—has been under a complete aerial blockade by the Saudi-led coalition since 2015.
