35-day-old baby dies in Gaza Strip due to extreme cold.
According to the Quds News Network, the Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health announced that a 35-day-old Palestinian baby named “Yousef Ahmed Anwar Kalloub” has died due to the extreme cold.
According to the ministry’s report, with the death of this 35-day-old baby, the number of Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip who have died due to the extreme cold and the lack of proper clothing and heating equipment has increased to eight, seven of whom are children.
The humanitarian conditions in Gaza that refugees are facing these days have become extremely difficult and unbearable due to the drop in air temperature and the lack of heating equipment in the tents.
The Commissioner of the Palestinian Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) had warned a few days ago that children in Gaza are freezing to death due to the cold and lack of shelter, while blankets and winter aid have been waiting for months to be allowed to enter Gaza.
